{"id":397,"date":"2014-11-28T16:39:52","date_gmt":"2014-11-28T16:39:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thehamiltongalleryonline.com\/blog\/?p=397"},"modified":"2014-11-28T20:13:07","modified_gmt":"2014-11-28T20:13:07","slug":"dreaming-my-animal-selves-by-helene-cardona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thehamiltongalleryonline.com\/blog\/?p=397","title":{"rendered":"Dreaming My Animal Selves by Helene Cardona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The word imagery experienced within the pages of Helene Cardona&#8217;s book of poetry <em>Dreaming My Animal Selves<\/em> in bare essence is magically spiritual. \u00a0 Regardless of a person&#8217;s way of belief, \u00a0Cardona&#8217;s artistry of archetypal symbolize entwined in metaphor and airy rhythm titillates the birth of the mystical spirit in the reader. \u00a0The conscious reader now becomes spiritually aware of the sub-conscious filled with images of nature set to a dream realm that invokes the feeling of <em>kindred spirit<\/em>. \u00a0Through the mastery of word image, the artistry of poetry, \u00a0seemingly is Cardona&#8217;s purpose\u00a0to achieve what was similarly sought by the peoples of the First Nations. \u00a0They used a sweat lodge and\/or\u00a0peyote, \u00a0wherefore creating this altered state to induce spiritual enlightenment and growth. \u00a0 The kindred spirit felt through a heighten cognitive state of interaction with other living and nonliving aspects of nature, emerges spirituality, that felt sense of interconnection and interdependence with all else. \u00a0 Very similar to the emergence of flavor born from the chemical interaction between the properties of food and the taste buds of the tongue.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not Helene Cardona used the art of poetry for the above expressed reason I don&#8217;t know. \u00a0 However, I do promise if you buy and read the book, the experience will be more than worth the cost of the trip. \u00a0 Helene is a world class artist and human being who creates magic&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 120px;
